“Yes! More!” Noah said aloud, pointing at the new Noahs. But right away, he decided they still needed more. Then, as if thinking Noah’s own thoughts, the other seven called out, “More. We want more!”

“Then it’s decided,” Noah said with a grin. “More, more, more!”

Chapter 7

What a Difference a Weekend Makes

The eight Noahs woke up at 06.45 on Saturday morning as normal. They’d been crammed into Noah’s house on blankets and sleeping bags and pillows. They were all over Noah’s bedroom and most of the living room too.

“OK, let’s –” Noah began, but before he could finish, the other seven Noahs said,

“Yes, let’s!”

All the Noahs had come up with the same plan without saying a single word about it. After breakfast, even though it was Saturday, they would go to school and sneak into their classroom to see if more Noahs were waiting for them there.

But when Noah peered out of his bedroom window, he saw eight brand-new Noahs in the front garden. It seemed as if his doubles turned up wherever was best for them.
